Therapist who defrauded schools can no longer treat N.J. students, state says

A pediatric occupational therapist who has been found guilty of defrauding two school districts out of more than $275,000 can no longer treat students in New Jersey public schools, the state’s Department of Education ruled this month.
Rebecca Dean, of Bridgewater, was sentenced to three years of probation last June after pleading guilty to theft by deception for billing the Edison and East Brunswick school districts for therapy services she never provided.
The 45-year-old was also directed to pay nearly $705,000 in restitution to the districts, according to state documents.
