    Thawai Village is an old village that is more than 300 years old. Later became the starting point of conveying wood carvings to their children. And the devotee made the woodcarving work to be spread out to neighbors who love the creation of handicrafts. Later, a villager named Nang Nongkran Upayokin traveled to Chiang Mai to learn other arts and crafts at the Cultural Center of Chiang Mai as well. And when the expertise was achieved, that skill was combined with wood carving in the village to create beautiful handicrafts. And unique the village of Tawai began to be widely known to the general public and foreign tourists and was dubbed as one of the most famous wood-carved handicrafts in Thailand.
